A Buffalo man is recovering after being rescued from Letchworth State Park last weekend.
Thirty-one-year-old Eric Dumas went over the steep embankment near the edge of the Upper Falls and had to be rope rescued on Sunday. He was then airlifted to Erie County Medical Center.
His girlfriend tells John Kucko he had surgery Monday and has since opened his eyes.
The surgery went well and they are thankful he is alive.
