Man killed in Dewey Avenue shooting, Jalen Everett

Local News

The man acquitted in the Genesee Street Boys and Girls Club triple homicide has been shot and killed in the city of Rochester.

Jalen Everett was found shot in a car in the area of Dewey Avenue and Electric Avenue.

Police responded after hearing the sound of gunfire. They were responding to an unrelated incident in the area.

Everett was previously found guilty on three counts of second-degree murder, as well as multiple assaults and weapons charges, but had his verdict overturned in December 2016.

Police on the scene would not speculate if this was in retaliation to that case.

A witness was on the scene, but no suspect is in custody at this time.
