A Rochester man has been arrested for several crimes following a hit-and-run crash in Ogden.
Witnesses say Samuel Thompson, 61, of Rochester was traveling westbound on Route 531 when he rear-ended another vehicle.
Thompson allegedly fled the scene, striking the driver of the vehicle he rear-ended as she was exiting her car, and then a second vehicle as he traveled north on Washington street.
Police say an alert citizen followed Thompson and reported the incident to 911. Police located Thompson as he was driving south on South Union Street in the village of Spencerport.
Thompson was charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and several other vehicle and traffic law infractions.
Thompson was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $1,500 bail.
