Man arrested for Henrietta bank robbery

A man has been arrested for the robbery of the Chase Bank in Henrietta. 

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob B. Farrell, 33, of Rochester, for the robbery on December 19, 2017.   

Deputies say Farrell entered the Chase Bank at 10:49 in the morning wearing a bandana on his face, sunglasses, and a baseball hat. He passed a note to the teller demanding money and stating that he had a gun.

According to deputies, Farrell left the bank with a an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen leaving in a small gray BMW sedan. Investigators were able to identify Farrell from a fingerprint he left on the note he passed to the teller, which was left at the bank.   

Farrell was taken into custody on December 20 and was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court on charges of Robbery in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree. Farrell was also served with two outstanding Monroe County Court Indictment Warrants, one for Petit Larceny and one for DWI.   

Farrell is also being investigated for his involvement in the December 12 M&T Bank robbery on Monroe Avenue in Pittsford
