A man has been arrested for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 35-year-old woman in Irondequoit.
Police say 25-year-old Robert Hunter was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on charges of leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Officers say he hit Nancy Lopez-Cruz as she was crossing North Goodman Street near Baker Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 27.
Further charges could be pending against Hunter, police say.
After the crash, officers asked the public for help locating the vehicle involved. Tuesday, police said they were able to make an arrest in the case with help from nearby neighbors and businesses.
