A round of heavy rain this morning, plus more rain on the way has prompted Flash Flood Watches to be posted for the area. This means the potential exists for some localized flooding where the heaviest rain falls this evening and overnight.
Some spots recorded a half inch to an inch or more of rain earlier this morning, and any storms that fire this evening and tonight have the potential to produce another half inch to an inch of rain.
Thursday will feature rain and some rumbles early, followed by a drying trend in the evening and overnight. But, another round of rain and some storms is expected on Friday as a stationary front meanders over western New York.
