A local group took time out of their day today to try and brighten it for others.
The group called their event “Rush Hour Positivity”. They gathered near the Liberty Pole and held up signs with positive messages that drivers could see.
The organizer, Sarah Lamb, is studying for her master’s degree in mental health counseling at St. John Fisher.
She says she hopes their efforts can help change someone’s mindset.
“It makes me feel awesome,” Lamb said. “We’ve already gotten lots of waves and smiles and honks and pictures. My goal here is just creating those positive ripples and I think it is the little things the matter, that can make a positive change.”
Lamb said she got such an overwhelming response from friends who want to join in, that she is now trying to coordinate a similar event in Buffalo.
