Local doctor named Governor-elect for American College of Cardiology

The Chief of Cardiology for Highland Hospital has been elected as next Governor for the New York State Delegation at the American College of Cardiology (NYACC). Dr. J. Chad Teeters will remain Governor-elect until 2018 and in March will take over as Governor of NYACC and President of the New York Cardiological Society until 2020. 

This is an honor for Dr. Teeters as The American College of Cardiology is the largest organization of cardiologists worldwide. The New York delegation is the second largest in the ACC. 

Dr. Teeters will be a resource for New York State’s cardiologists and be a surrogate the the national board, among other responsibilities. 

Dr. Teeters is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he completed his own residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cardiovacular Disease.
