Local company fills Medley Centre vacancy, bringing hundreds of jobs to the area

Local News

One of the world’s largest business service companies is moving its call center from Webster into the former Macy’s building in the Medley Centre.

Condeunt, Inc., the company created when Xerox split into two, will be retaining 350 of their current employees, but are still looking to hire 400 more.

Flaum Management, which owns the former Macy’s store, says Conduent will only be occupying the second floor.

CEO of Flaum Management Loren Flaum says they hope this will bring new life to Rochester and keep the Medley Centre alive.

“They are very committed to producing very high-quality jobs for Rochester,” said Flaum. “They’re very excited about that for them. They love all the amenities and the location and really revitalizing the Medley Centre here in Rochester.”

Irondequiot Town Supervisor Dave Seeley is also looking forward to the company moving to Irondequiot.

“This is a clear sign that better days are headed for the town of Irondequoit,” said Seeley. “Our community will be proud to play a role in the transformation and growth of the company that has meant so much to the region.”

Renovations are expected to be completed by August 15, 2017 and employees are expected to be working in the new space by the fall.
