Dozens of volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God hosted a training seminar on Sunday for the public to learn how to respond to natural disasters. 

The New York National Guard and multiple emergency suervices attended the training formerly called the Citizen Preparedness Training. 

Those in attendance also got to learn how to develop family emergency plans, and what are the best products to stock up on in case of an emergency. 

Governor Cuomo launched the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps for residents to be well equipped with the proper tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. 

Experts from the Division of Homeland Security, the Office of Emergency Management, and the Office of Fire Prevention and Control participated, as well.
