In just over a month, festival season in Rochester will kick-off with the Lilac Festival.
Crews were out Monday at Highland Park preparing the field and mapping out where the attractions will go.
There are some new features this year, including a craft beverage expo. Organizers say it will take the previous beer and wine tents to a new level.
“It features wine, cider, spirits and beer over three days,” said Jeff Sprinut, a Lilac Festival producer, “It will be the second weekend of the festival in a new tent that’s 12,000 square feet.”
There will be over 75 craft beverage producers showcased, with the majority from New York State.
The Lilac Festival takes place May 12-21 at Highland Park.
