The Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center is hosting the very first Light & Sound Interactive event (LSI) this week.
It’s co-hosted by the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
The event focuses on innovations in augmented and virtual reality, interactive media and games, film, audio and music, imaging, displays, healthcare, optics and photonics.
“Two things really, to bring the world here to see all of the great assets we have, but also to get the community enthusiastic about everything that we have and look at the potential to build new businesses here based on those core competencies,” Mark Backo, professor of electrical engineering at the U of R, said.
Keynote speakers, demonstrations, hands-on events, and a career fair are all part of the mix.
