Beer tasting, beer making, and giving back to the community.

That’s what you can expect at the Tap It Forward Festival at the Genesee Brew House in Rochester.

Proceeds will benefit a scholarship for MCC’s new brewers program, which begins in 2017.

There will also be food trucks, live music, and opportunities to learn goes into making craft beer.

“We are going to have hops growers, local maltsters, so this is going to be a really great opportunity to learn about beer, learn about hops, and learn more about the Rochester beer scene,” said Dean Jones, the Genesee Pilot Brewery’s brewmaster. “It is really happening.”

The Tap It Forward Festival is September 9, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $10, and attendees must be 21 or older to attend. To buy tickets, visit geneseebeer.com.
