Judge Piampiano censured by state watchdog for giving interview to the media

The Judge who presided over the Charlie Tan case, has been officially censured by the the state watchdog for judicial ethics, for speaking to the media before, during, and after the conclusion of the trial, three separate times.

In or around 8 October 2015, he is reported to have given three interviews to the media, including WHEC, WHAM-13, and the Democrat & Chronicle.

Piampiano has admitted that his conduct was not in line with ethical standards, and has pledged to stay in line with the rules set by the Committee on Judical Conduct for the remainder of his term.
