Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio could appear in court for an arraignment on a violation of probation charge as early as Friday, per her new attorney, Gregory Salmon.

Salmon said he’s submitted a motion to the court to allow Astacio to be arraigned on an alleged probation violation, stemming from a visit to del Lago Resort & Casino in Tyre, Seneca County.

According to the terms of Astacio’s probation, she’s not allowed to leave Monroe County without approval from her probation officer.

Court papers detail Astacio left a phone message with her probation officer on Sept. 20 detailing her trip, but the message wasn’t received until the 21st, after she had made the trip.

Salmon told News 8 Astacio must be arraigned on this alleged probation violation before the request filed Tuesday to end her probation term can be fulfilled or denied.

Astacio’s defense team has yet to receive a response from the court. Her arraignment is currently scheduled for October 23.
