Local News

People in upstate New York know winter can be brutal, but for some students in the Rochester City School District it can be especially tough.

That’s because hundreds of students attend class every day without the basic essentials like hats and socks. To help out, Jordan Health has decided to partner with the district to provide hats and socks to nearly 1,700 students.

The president and CEO of Jordan Health says she thinks it’s important to show the children they care.

“You know what, I think it’s important. Not only does it give us fufillment but it shows little folks and children that people care about what’s going on in their lives,” explains jANICE hARBIN, jORDAN hEALTH ceo. “People care about them and I think it’s important for children to know that.”

School 5, 22 and 19 will all receive hats and socks for the students.
