IRONDEQUOIT, NY (WROC) — The owner of an Irondequoit landscaping company says his crews are already back to work on Friday after a fire ripped through two of the company’s barns.
In a letter sent to WROC, Irondequoit Landscape President Jeff Riesenberger says the company is already set to rebuild.
“We are going to rebuild our structures, replace our equipment, and do it faster and better than ever thought possible!” says Riesenberger.
According to Riesenberger, after word of the fire got out, his equipment suppliers Brodner Equipment “had our trailers loaded with their own personal equipment by 8 a.m.” Because of the help, he says the company is already back in business.
In the message, Riesenberger also thanked all the firefighters who helped out.
“The men and women firefighters worked with speed and energy the likes of which I have never seen,” said Riesenberger. “They are true heroes and have my utmost respect and appreciation. Irondequoit police, fire marshall, building department, the department of public works, and the town supervisor all were personally involved.”
A fundraiser created after the fire has already raised thousands of dollars to help them rebuild.
