Hundreds march in Buffalo for equality

Local News

For a second day in a row, thousands of people hit the streets in cities across the nation to advocate for equality and empowerment.

Men, women and children gathered outside Buffalo’s City Hall on Sunday to raise awareness about women’s rights, health care reform, racial equality and LGBTQ rights.

“We all marched for multiple reasons,” said Jessica Altman. “I think coming together in a capacity in which this day does just brings together all of the various issues that our country is faced with right now.”

During the march, the crowd made stops at several places related to the issues, including the police headquarters and board of elections.
