Honor Flight Rochester’s Mission 63’s wheels touched down at the Greater Rochester International Airport on Sunday. This is the final mission for 2018.
HFR has escorted thousands of veterans from the Greater Rochester area on an honor flight.
HFR Mission 63 consisted of 48 men and women veterans taking their honor flight trip to Washington, D.C. over the weekend.
The veterans served in all branches of the U.S. armed forces during World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and the Cold War era.
The women veteran on Mission 63 served in the Women Army Corps (WAC).
Not including Mission 63, HFR has escorted nearly 3,000 men and women veterans on 62 Missions.
HFR has been made possible by the generosity of donations from individual donors, corporate sponsors, and hundreds of volunteers.
