AAA is projecting more than 54 Million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for Thanksgiving. That’s the highest travel volume since 2005.

To help with traffic congestion, New York State is suspending all lane closures on roads and bridges during Thanksgiving. Work will resume on Monday.

New York State police are also cracking down on impaired and distracted driving this holiday season. Expect to see more police than usual on the roads, with several sobriety checkpoints set up.
