High school students hold benefit concert for hurricane relief

Local News

A group of area high school students helped put on a benefit concert for hurricane relief Friday night.

The event was organized by the Rochester Chinese Community, and featured music by internationally known violinists and pianists, as well as student performers.

Organizers say it was a perfect opportunity to get the younger generations involved in something important.

The event raised just under $5,000, with donations continuing to come in.

100% of those proceeds will be donated to charities helping hurricanes Harvey and Irma victims.
