The Board of Fire Commissioners for the Henrietta Fire District has chosen Mark Strzyzynski as the new fire chief.

Strzyzynski, who has been the assistant chief for the past three years, will replace Chief Comstock, who is retiring effective January 28.

Prior to this, Strzyzynski spent 25 years with the Rochester Fire Department, where he retired as a Battalion Chief in 2013.

Strzyzynski is a lifelong Henrietta resident, graduating from RH Sperry in 1983. He has been a volunteer member of the fire district and ambulance.

Mark says he is looking forward to leading the Henrietta Fire District while providing protection for firefighters, residents, and visitors.

A swearing in ceremony for Strzyzynski will be held on February 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roth Middle School Auditorium. All are welcome to attend.
