A new event, Hair of the Dog, will be held Wednesday evening, June 15, at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Rochester.

Event founder Bethany Stevens discussed the idea behind Hair of the Dog Wednesday on News 8 at Sunrise.  Stevens called it a dog friendly wine and beer tasting.  Food trucks will also be in the park, along with about 40 pet-related vendors.

Stevens, who owns the dog walking company On the Move Pet Care, wanted to create an event to allow people to bring their dogs out and engage in the community.  She collaborated with the City of Rochester on this event.

Hair of the Dog will go from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
