A new program by the Children’s Institute, called “GROW-Rochester”, will provide health screenings for 3-year-old children in Rochester.
The health screenings are free and will be done by trained professionals at child care centers and at schools. Children will be screened in vision, hearing, and speech development.
“It’s extremely important that we identify what the needs are for young children so that we can get them the needed services to help them be successful in school in their early years,” said Lauri Strano, the Director of Programs and Services at the Children’s Institute.
The Rochester Hearing And Speech Center and Saint John Fisher College are just a few of the many partners that are working with GROW-Rochester.
