Greece to hold information meetings on coyotes

Local News

The Town of Greece is planning to hold information meetings, featuring DEC representatives, next month, after reports of coyote sightings around town.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on August 7 at the Greece Community and Senior Center Multi-Purpose Room and will include a question and answer session with the speaker.

In a statement, Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich said:

“I thought it was important to get out in front of this issue regarding the state-wide rise in the Coyote population and I wanted to be certain our Greece residents were provided with as much information as possible. The Town Board and I are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity to attend an informational meeting with an expert in the field from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Greece residents are welcome to join us for the informational presentation and question and answer session on Tuesday, August 7th, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Greece Community and Senior Center.”
