A state of emergency has been issued for the Town of Greece until further notice.

Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich says the state of emergency has been declared due to increased water levels and flooding along the Lake Ontario shoreline.

This is not a travel ban, however, residents are advised to use caution when traveling along waterfront roads, “due to potential situations that could threaten public safety.”
