A grand jury has indicted a man on drug charges in connection with the overdose death of a Gates woman.
Dominic Hobbs, 31, faces charges of third-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Hobbs was also charged with criminally negligent homicide after Tara Miles, 41, overdosed in April.
Gates Police allege Hobbs sold cocaine and heroin to Miles just a couple of hours before her death.
The charge of criminally negligent homicide was seen as a renewed effort by Gates Police to clamp down on the heroin epidemic by targeting the dealers.
Gates Police says the criminally negligent homicide charge has not yet been presented to a grand jury, pending completion of the autopsy.
