Girlfriend and passenger of David Morgan faces multiple charges

Local News

The search continues for a North Carolina man who deputies said pulled a gun on a Geneseo police officer continued Thursday. Police say that 49-year-old David Clyde Morgan has been on the run since Wednesday.

Deputies say Morgan pointed a gun at a Geneseo police officer during a traffic stop on Route 63.

The officer, in turn, fired shots at Morgan. It doesn’t appear anyone was hurt.

Meanwhile, Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Morgan’s girlfriend Sandra Brown, also a North Carolina native, and she was arraigned in CAP Court on Thursday evening.

Brown was Morgan’s passenger at the time of the incident.

According to court documents, Brown pointed a cell phone at the Geneseo Police Officer in an attempt to interfere with his duties. Papers say that Brown coordinated with Morgan to pull a gun on the officer, to allow them to run away.

Brown faces six charges, three misdemeanors, two felonies, and one violation.

She’s being held on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies ask those who have any ideas as to Morgan’s whereabouts to call 911 or to leave a tip at 844.LCSO.TIP
