The City of Rochester announced a rebranded summer music festival on Thursday.
On August 25 and 26, the city will host the Summer Soul Music Festival at Frontier Field.
This year’s version of what used to be called the Rochester Music Festival will continue to put a focus on soul and R&B music.
So far, the lineup includes two major acts: Morris Day & The Time, and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. Both acts will perform on Sunday, August 26.
A full line-up will be announced at a later date. You can find ticket information by clicking here. You can get single day admission tickets for $30 until April 30.
Xperience Live Events, a company owned by a Rochester native, will act as promoters.
