A public work session was held last night to talk about a possible full-day kindergarten in the Pittsford Central School, though attendees couldn’t voice their opinion.
Work sessions are used by the board of education to clarify and review topics which are too large for regular board meetings.
Earlier this month a survey in the district found that a majority of people want full-day kindergarten and are willing to pay for it.
But the district says they’ll need a super majority to override the tax cap, and they’re not sure they have that much support.
A final decision is likely to be made this fall.
