Rochester police have charged four people after a chase and crash early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to Clarissa Street on the city’s south-west side shortly before 2 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

Investigators say they tried to stop a car they believed may have been involved, but that vehicle fled police until it crashed on Buffalo Road.

Four people were arrested after a foot chase.  Police charged Jabari Allen, 22, Chaunte Turner, 26,  Eric Ruise, 26, and Marcus Mason, 27, all of Rochester with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.   All four are being held in the Monroe County jail.

Officers found a weapon at that crash scene.

No one was injured in the crash.
