Former City of Rochester Deputy Mayor Leonard Redon has died, according to Mayor Lovely Warren.

Warren says Redon passed away in Florida surrounded by his family, following a battle with cancer.

Redon served as deputy mayor for five years before retiring June 14, 2016.

“Len Redon was a great friend and co-worker and I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends as well as to the host of community members who had the good fortune of knowing and working with him,” said Mayor Warren.
