Foodlink hosted their 15th annual fundraiser, ‘The Festival of Food’ Monday night.
The event welcomes some of the best local food and drink vendors around to Rochester’s Public Market. This year, 120 vendors offered up some unique samplings to a crowd of about 1,000 people.
“This is out biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Foodlink’s President and CEO Julia Tedesco. “Foodlink’s mission is to end hunger and to leverage the power of food to help the community. We use food every single day to improve people’s lives and this is a celebration of that, and we’ll use all the proceeds to support our programs.”
The event included small and locally-owned businesses as well as big names like Wegmans.
Foodlink raised about $100,000 in ticket sales alone from tonight’s event.
