ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - A first-of-its-kind addiction treatment center is now available to addicts seeking help around the clock.
The 24/7 Open Access Center delivers immediate engagement, assessment, and referral services for people suffering from a substance use disorder. Staff also collaborates with local law enforcement to direct low-level offenders to treatment.
“Not everyone is able to seek treatment during normal business hours. This center will ensure that help is available at any time of day or night for people in need,” New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Commissioner Arlene González-Sánchez said in a statement.
