For the last time, a ceremony to honor Battle of the Bulge veterans was held in Rochester.
The ceremony, which has been held for more than two decades, came to an end Monday morning. Only five veterans from the bloody, turning point battle remain in the Rochester area. The oldest veteran is now 101-years-old.
The memorial is held each year in Charlotte at the site of the Battle of the Bulge memorial in the park.
Organizers say Monday’s turnout was the biggest they’ve seen in their 20 years.
