The twenty-seventh Family Health & Fitness Fair will be held Thursday, October 6 at the RIT Inn & Conference Center.
Co-Producer Linda McQueen discussed what attendees will find when they arrive at this year’s event Wednesday on News 8 at Noon. “We’re focusing on helping families make informed decisions about the health for their whole family,” said McQueen.
The Fair will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free, along with free screenings and programs. “They’ll be encompassed with exhibitors that can answer their questions – non-profit companies and manufacturing officials that will help them with health and fitness,” McQueen said. “They’ll also be able to take in programs that will inform them on Medicare and variety of things, and have screenings done for their eyesight, health, blood and variety of things.”
McQueen said attendees will have the information they need to make good decisions about how to proceed with their health care. “They’ll have health care companies, they’ll know about their blood levels, they can get their flu shots,” she said. “We want to help the community be more healthy and fit. Our purpose is providing visitors to our health fair an experience so that they can ask all the relevant questions for their family.”
