Lots of trees came down and caused damage all over the Rochester region Sunday during the wind storm.
The team at the Emergency Operations Center was busy monitoring the storm all day. Emergency Manager of Monroe County, Timothy Kohlmeier, said it has been manageable so far, but there is still more ahead.
“The National Weather Service has said conditions will continue through midday tomorrow, we’re expecting the wind to shift, so we’re in a prolonged event and we’ll be monitoring the conditions and responding accordingly as situations develop,” Kohlmeier said.
He also said they are flexing with the event and have a lot of emergency responders ready to react if needed.
The county is still recommending no unnecessary travel, and the high wind warnings will remain in affect until 8 o clock Monday morning.
