Dunkin’ Donuts presents $10K grant to Foodlink

Local News

It’s Valentine’s Day and Dunkin’ Donuts is spreading the love by presenting a $10,000 grant to Foodlink.

The grant is part of Dunkin’s “The Joy in Childhood Foundation,” which gives meals to hungry kids across the country. One of Dunkin’s representatives stopped by the Linden Avenue shop to present the giant check on Thursday.

“Why Foodlink? It’s such an important organization, they provide meals,” said Eric Stensland, Dunkin’ Brands. “One of the most important ones… It’s kind of like the backpack programs that provide meals to food pantries. No child should actually go hungry and what they do for the 18 area communities around, we can’t think of a better cause here in Rochester.”

The grant is expected to support Foodlink’s summer meals program. Summer is one of the most important times for hungry kids since they don’t have access to school meals.
