Road construction season in Rochester is winding down. The State Department of Transportation has worked on several capital improvement projects this year, including upgrades to Route 531 in Spencerport.
The Spencerport project is a $14 million improvement project that will reconfigure an intersection.
The work being done there is part of several improvement projects this year announced by the state.
With construction season coming to an end soon, the DOT says for the most part, everything is on schedule.
“We don’t have any major setbacks, but it’s always something that lingers over us and we fear of two or three weeks of nonstop rain,” said Lori Maher with the DOT.
The DOT says the newly rebuilt Amtrack Station in downtown Rochester is also close to being completed.
