Distillery giving away Les Paul guitar as part of fundraiser for schools

Local News

Distillery restaurants in the Rochester area are hosting a fundraiser to benefit music programs in local schools.

During “Round Up for Music,” customers can choose to “round up” their bill in any amount to add a donation. The money will go to music programs, education and equipment for Rochester schools. Folks at The Distillery tell us they felt that music education was important to support.

“It’s an amazing thing to watch kids who get to use the instruments that they have in their classroom and their education for music,” explains Randy Slifer, Distillery restaurants. “They really have a passion for it and unfortunately these are the programs that get cut when district funding comes around.”

The fundraiser runs through April 12. Any customer that donates is entered for a chance to win a Les Paul guitar autographed by guitar superstar Joe Bonamassa. More information about the fundraiser can be found at their Go Fund Me site, here.
