An Ontario County woman is accused of setting a fire after a break-up.

Cheryl Ann Buckley, age 60, is charged with arson in the case.

On Thursday, deputies say she set fire to the Pinewood Manor Motel on County Road 50 in Canandaigua. Several people were inside the hotel at the time, including Buckley’s ex, deputies say.

Thankfully, crews were able to put out the fire quickly.

In addition to that fire, deputies say they later learned Buckley had attempted to set fire to the same building outside the victim’s room and had placed a gas-soaked rag inside the exhaust pipe of her ex’s vehicle.

Deputies say she was seeking revenge after a break-up.

She is being held on bail at Ontario County Jail.
