A Rushville woman is accused of stealing more than $440,000 from the Victor business where she worked.

Deputies say the theft happened over a period of more than a decade.

Investigators say Kimberly Payne worked as an officer manager for a technology business where she had access to accounts payable, receivable and payroll. Deputies say she used this access to forge business checks to pay her personal bills.

She also electronically transferred money from business accounts to her own account, deputies said.

Payne is being held in Ontario County Jail ahead of arraignment.
