Woman charged in fatal hit-and-run near Darien Lake Amusement Park

DARIEN, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - UPDATE:

An Irving woman has been charged in connection to the deadly hit-and-run this weekend near Darien Lake Amusement Park. 

48-year-old Jennifer Serrano is charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, Leaving the Scene of a personal injury accident. Her car was seized during a search warrant Sunday morning in Amherst. 

Serrano is being held in Genesee County Jail.

Genesee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the driver responsible for striking and killing a Hinckley teen on Friday. 

It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Sumner Road, near Darien Lake Amusement Park. 

According to deputies, 18-year-old Connor Lynskey and friends were heading back to their campsite at Darien Lake State Park following the Jason Aldean concert. Lynskey ran ahead to catch up with another friend. 

Friends later called police when he didn't return to the campsite. 

Shortly before noon on Saturday, officers discovered the teen's body in a ditch - where he was pronounced dead. 

According to family members, Lynskey graduated from Holland Patent High School in 2017. He was about to enter his sophomore year at Siena College, where he studied pre-med. 

Lynskey would have turned 19 next month.
