The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the man responsible for a robbery Sunday night at a Chili convenience store.

Deputies say the suspect, described as about five-foot-seven-inches tall and 200 pounds, walked into the Express Convenience Store at 25 Chestnut Ridge Road wearing a blue ski mask, dark clothing, jeans and blue surgical gloves.

The clerk told deputies that the suspect had his hand in his pocket in a threatening manner, but never showed any weapon. The clerk gave the man money and a pack of cigarettes and the suspect ran from the store.

Anyone who may have seen anything strange around 8:30 p.m. Sunday is asked to call 911.
