Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies were at the Devil’s Bathtub in Mendon Ponds Park again on Thursday.

Police say the search was part of the ongoing investigation into the Craig Rideout case.

Craig Rideout’s body was discovered near Penn Yan in July. Police say it he had been strangled, and acid poured on his face.

Shortly after Rideout was found, police searched Devil’s Bathtub for evidence that may have been dumped in the water.

His wife, Laura, and two children, Colin and Alex were arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and are currently out on bail. No murder charges have been filed yet.
