PARMA, NY (WROC) - A substitute teacher in the Rochester City School District is facing charges for an incident involving a 14-year-old in Parma, deputies say.
Forty-three-year-old Michael Costa is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment.
Deputies did not detail the accusations against Costa, only saying: "The charges stem from an incident that is alleged to have occurred on August 20, 2018 in the town of Parma involving inappropriate physical contact with a 14 year old female."
We're told the case does not involve a Rochester student, but Costa has been placed on leave.
Costa was issued an appearance ticket for the case.
Deputies are asking any other potential victims in the case to call 911.
