UPDATE 1:30 a.m. 4/6 –
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has reported that on Thursday, at 8:19 p.m. deputies responded to a call for a suicidal female armed with a knife at a home on 5499 South Lake Rd. (Rt. 19) in Sweden.
Upon arrival, deputies say they encountered and secured multiple people of interest inside the location.
Deputies checked the house for other individuals and discovered a boy, age 10 or younger, deceased.
The scene is currently secured pending a search warrant. This is an ongoing homicide investigation.
The investigation will be continuing throughout the night. South Lake Road will remain closed between Colby Street and White Road for the duration of the investigation.
