Deputies ID woman hit and killed by Greece police investigator

The woman who died after being hit by an on-duty Greece police investigator has been identified.

Officers say 52-year-old Lillian Weyanna, of Parma, was the woman hit around 9 p.m. Saturday night on Route 104 near Trimmer Road in Parma.

Deputies say Detective Kevin Klump was headed east on Route 104 when he hit Weyanna. Officials say she was wearing dark clothing.

Deputies say Weyanna is originally from a rural community in Alaska; her family has been notified.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Attorney General.

Detective Klump has been placed on paid administrative leave. We’re told he is an eight year veteran of the Greece Police Department and has been an officer for a total of 17 years.
