Colin Rideout and Alex Rideout are now prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition after a court order was filed on Thursday.
Both are accused of second degree murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of their father, Craig Rideout.
On Monday, Colin and Alex were pulled over on their way to their arraignment on those charges. Police say they found a rifle and a knife in the car.
Colin was ticketed for having a suspended license and registration.
Craig’s estranged wife and Colin and Alex’s mother, Laura Rideout, as well as her boyfriend, Paul Tucci, are facing the same charges for Craig Rideout’s death.
Craig Rideout, 50, was reported missing on July 20. Yates County investigators found his body in a wooded area later that day, wrapped in a tarp and bound with bungee cords.
Investigators accused the Rideout sons of dumping physical evidence in the Devil’s Bathtub in Mendon Ponds Park.
Craig’s sister reported seeing Laura in his Penfield apartment, which she described as “odd.” At the time, Laura was living with Tucci at his home in Fairport.
Craig Rideout’s van also went missing when he did, and was found a week later parked at the Bushnell’s Basin Park and Ride. Court documents say his car keys were found on the bed shared by Laura and Tucci in his home.
Laura Rideout and Tucci were also recorded on Walmart security footage buying tarps and drain cleaner, according to police documents. Both were required to submit DNA samples as evidence.
All four suspects have been ordered to remain with Monroe, Wayne, and Ontario County, as they had previously indicated they were attempting to move to South Carolina.
Their trial is set to begin on June 20. Prosecuters hope to try all four together.
