Cinemark Movies 10 in Brighton is set to close its doors next Sunday.
The movie theater is scheduled to show its final film on January 22, after 20 years in business.
A sign posted on the door of the theater thanked all of the guests who have come to the movies over the years.
News 8 talked to some movie goers who were disappointed in hearing the news.
“I think it’s unfortunate that our only outlet is a eight dollar or 10 dollar movie now, or we can stay home, which I think is eventually going to happen,” said Dshawn Wilson.
“I’m really sad,” said Kimberly Nudd. “I just saw it today, and I was very surprised, and very sad because it’s an affordable way for my son and I to come to the movies and have something to do on the weekends.”
Cinemark Tinseltown is still expected to stick around.
